Novant Health Partnership
Early in 2016, Memorial Health officials had spent some time negotiating a contract with the Novant Health. This brought up some rumors that the negotiations were on the acquisitions of the Memorial Healthcare by Novant Health. However, Maggie Gill came forward stating that the two health care facilities were negotiating on a partnership instead. The collaboration between the two aims at helping the facilities adapt to the Affordable Care Act, which is becoming a bit challenging for the hospital business. This collaboration will also result in more job creation and financial stability for the two facilities.
