Desiree Perez is the Chief Operating Officer of Roc Nation since 2009. She is involved with several different areas of the company including publishing, management and labeling. She was a producer for Beyoncé and Jay Z’s on the run tour. In 2015 she was a nominee for a primetime Emmy. As COO of Roc Nation, Desiree Perez is the force behind the contracts for streaming music app Tidal and a member of the Hova Circle of Influence.
Desiree Perez is a top negotiator and made a $150-million deal with Live Nation in 2008 and negotiated a $25-million collaboration with Samsung in 2016 promoting Rihanna’s ANTI tour. Desiree was the head of negotiations for the investment from Sprint for Tidal, a movie streaming platform. She has played an essential part in helping jay z expand his business and helped in past ventures like SC Enterprises.
Desiree Perez has produced a documentary called Change: The LifeParticle Effect. She runs day-to-day operations and coordinates music tours. She works directly with Jay-Z and Jay Brown on campaigns for their new releases. Jay-Z’s album went platinum due to Desiree Perez leveraging their relationship with Sprint. They offered Jay-Z’s 4:44 album as a free download. She got Puma to sponsor his “4:44” tour which generated more profits than his earlier albums.
Even though Desiree Perez has achieved so much she still prefers the quiet life and likes to stay in the background when it comes to her career. She likes to spend quiet time with her husband Juan Perez who helps run Roc Nation Sports.
