The mission of every healthcare management company should be to better the lives of their patients. Unfortunately, many of those companies only care about their bottom lines. When it comes to helping their patients, they only care if their patients can afford managed care plans or are already healthy. InnovaCare, Inc. operates two Medicare Advantage plans: MMM Healthcare, LLC and PMC Medicare Choice, LLC – in addition to a medical service organization.
This mix of business and health isn’t good for patients who have lifelong struggles with health. They need a company that cares whether they live. Companies like InnovaCare Health are a saving grace for many patients in that situation. InnovaCare puts every patient first.
InnovaCare’s mission is to change the way people look at healthcare management. The current healthcare management environment is complex and full of dead ends and pitfalls. InnovaCare wants to create a more fluent and manageable healthcare environment that would allow healthcare providers and patients to interact more openly. They hope to achieve this dream by focusing on patient-provider relationships.
When patients trust their healthcare providers, they’re less likely to hold back information. If doctors don’t know the full story, they can’t properly diagnose and treat patients. It’s important to InnovaCare that their patients trust them so that they provide quality medical care to all.
Helping InnovaCare Health pursue this idealistic mission is Dr. Richard Shinto. Dr. Shinto is CEO and President of numerous InnovaCare subsidiaries as well as the company as a whole. Throughout his career with InnovaCare, he’s led some of those subsidiaries to tremendous success.
Near the beginning of his career with InnovaCare, he was placed in charge of one of their Puerto Rican subsidiaries. Within five years of taking over, he made InnovaCare the number one provider of managed care in Puerto Rico. When he returned to the continental United States, he began heading up more of their subsidiaries, eventually working his way up to running the entire enterprise. Another helping hand at InnovaCare is Penelope Kokkinides. Currently, she serves as Chief Administrative Officer. Unlike Dr. Shinto, she is not a practicing physician, and instead, heads up the business sides of the enterprise. She only works for the primary InnovaCare Inc but has worked at numerous other healthcare companies.
When she started working for InnovaCare in 2015, she had already worked for them once before. She left to pursue other opportunities.
