Rays Radio Team to Return
November 26th, 2009 | by Jason Collette |Andy Freed was not in doubt but Dave Wills was a free agent until yesterday when he agreed to a new one year deal. I think this is wonderful news because I find Andy and Dave one of the best pairs in the business to listen to on the radio and I often put them on the audio while muting my TV for games. I grew up on Dewayne Staats calling Astros games but Joe Magrane left a gaping hole in the color analyst seat that Kevin Kennedy has inadequately filled and while I enjoy when Brian Anderson is in there, he isn’t in there enough with Staats to develop the kind of chemistry needed for a great tandem.
