Two Rays Make BA’s Southern League Top 20
October 8th, 2009 | by Jason Collette |The article that runs down the scouting reports of the prospects is subscriber material but Baseball America’s Ben Badler has ranked Rays’ prospects Desmond Jennings and Jeremy Hellickson in the Top 10 for the 2009 Southern League. Both Jennings and Hellickson were promoted to AAA Durham toward the end of the season and were both integral parts in the Durham Bulls winning both the International League and the AAA championship in 2009. Both players are definitely players to watch when the Rays report to Port Charlotte in February 2010, especially Jennings if the Rays make any moves with Carl Crawford or B.J. Upton this off-season.
